I'm going to do a separate post for each of the speakers so that I can include videos of their talks too. I'll have them up today, so keep an eye out for them. In the meantime, here is my intro to the evening... (I know it's low res and I'm appearing as a blob, but I'll swap it out as soon as I figure it all out!)
I had mentioned at the end of the talk some ideas for next events
• Maximising Web 2.0 sites for your advertising needs
• Mobile phone content
• Digital Art Exhibition – I will be getting you guys to enter artwork for this
It was also great to chat to people afterwards and hear some other ideas, like putting on a play in Second Life and looking at how digital media plays it’s part in the music industry. If you have any other ideas please post them on this blog and create a discussion.
I will be planning the next event soon. I think I’ll put one on over the course of the summer, so you’ll have to come along and see the new roof garden in the Odessa club for a drink afterwards too! I’ll keep you posted with any details as I have them.
Thanks again for all the positive support!
Cheers,
Suzanne
P.S. I mentioned my logo was designed by Phil Mitton, you can check out his site at www.madebymitton.com.
Gary Leyden from Vrising was up first talking about virtual worlds and 3D environments. Here is a video of his talk.

Barry Bedford from Eyewonder talked us through some online interactive advertising that they work on. It seemed to really spark some creative ideas for shaking up online advertising. You can reach Barry through www.eyewonder.com.
Glimpse were the last to speak, but by no means least. Jim Fleming, animator and director with Glimpse, spoke and showed us some of their animation, mattes and VFX for commercials, TV and film. The creative content was a nice fresh way to finish up the evening of talks. Glimpse are one of the directors with Moo and you can see some of their work at www.moopictures.com under ‘directors’. If you would like to talk to Glimpse about any scripts/treatments/costs please drop me a line at suzanne@moopictures.com . Here is their talk from the evening.
