Well Tuesday’s ‘Music Meets Brands’ event went really well. Muzu’s studio was a perfect venue for it and the speakers all did a great job. They were Graeme Slattery and Keith Curley from Muzu.tv and Declan O’Brien from eircom.net. It was follwed by a beautiful performance from Steve Lynch, aka Stellarsound, featuring Paula Flynn, of ‘Let’s Dance’.
I’ve embedded the videos from the Digital Mifitz channel which is now on Muzu.tv and put them on the blog. It was a very easy process, you should sign up to them and have a nosey around their sight, I think you'll be impressed.
First up I just talked briefly about the new changes in Moo - we've moved to Upper Mount St which has been great and we're enjoying being in the thick of things. In addition to TV commercials production Moo is now offering digital creative solutions for clients. Some of these include the use of the following in your campaigns: social media, viral marketing, online promotion, iPhone applications, Twitter campaigns, virtual world experiences etc. We can work with client needs and advise the best strategy to use. Our partnership with the Digital Media Forum allows us access to approximately 1,000 digital media companies, which means agencies can avoid unnecessarily hiring of multiple digital personnel. So, get in touch, all our details are on www.moopictures.com. You can also have a look at me below and giggle at the 7 month pregnancy bump too!
I'm working in conjunction with Rocket Productions for some of the digital solutions and they will also be looking after my directors while I'm on maternity leave. Eoghan Ryan and Fiona Kinsella are the producers and can be contacted through Moo at info@moopictures.com. They also plan to run the next Digital Misfitz.... so be nice!
I'd like to thank our sponsors, the Digital Media Forum, Screen Scene, Muzu and Piranha Bar who really make these events happen.

Muzu.tv then took to the stage with Graeme Slattery speaking first and giving a thorough background to the music industry and the various online factors that exist. He then took us through Muzu.tv and showed us how the site works and the many ways users, be it artists, bands, record labels or fans, can use the site:

Then Keith Curley from Muzu.tv took over and explained the business model and, because of the site being fully legal, how the artists and labels generate money but also how brands can get involved to also generate revenue. I can send you a copy of the guys' powerpoint presentation if you are interested, if so just drop me a line.:

Our last speaker was Declan O'Brien from eircom.net. He talked us through eircom.net's involvement in the music industry and the changes they are making today towards a dynamic site where you can purchase tracks and get some great deals. Take a look here:

Well, feel free to get in touch if there is anything further you'd like to know. As always the address is info@moopictures.com.
Cheers,
Suzanne
Welcome to Digital Misfitz!
The idea behind Digital Misfitz is to bring together artists, creative minds and industry specialists by organising various events on topics surrounding digital technology specifically in relation to advertising.
The technology available to us is rapidly changing all the time, so what better way to keep on top of it and see the creative side of it than to get people together for small events to be informed and be involved.
Keep an eye on the blog to see what event is coming next.
All comments welcome!
Cheers,
Suzanne

2009....
Well 2009 has well and truly started! While I've busily moved office I'm now thinking ahead to the next event which I hope to run in February. I'll keep you updated on the blog.
As you may have noticed, the whole Christmas period kept me away from updating the blog, and I don't want that to happen again. So, I'd be really interested to hear from anyone who might be keen to contribute to it by writing an article or give their thoughts on some relevant area of digital media and creative advertising. Drop me a line at info@moopictures.com and we can take it from there.
So, my new years resolution is to make the blog more dynamic and I hope you can help me do that!
Watch this space....!
Cheers,
Suzanne

Mobile Advertising and Marketing - Videos of speakers
Tuesday night's event was a great success. We had two great speakers, Eamon Hession from PĂșca and Dominic Muldoon from Xiam, who gave very good overviews of mobile marketing and advertising. They showed some examples of how it's working well abroad in countries such as Japan where they are considerably ahead of Ireland in this area. It was all very interesting food for thought.
It was also great to see such a good industry spread of people attending the talk which helps keep it relevant and also makes it a very worthwhile networking event. I look forward to seeing the same faces that have appeared at the events to date at the next one along with lots of new ones!
We had great input from the guys at the Farm for the event. They set up a number of interavtive mobile 'toys' for everyone to play with. They were a really nice touch and well put together.
Below is Eamon's talk:
And here is Dominic's talk:

I'd like to say a special thank you to all our sponsors who really helped this event to happen. They are: The Digital Media Forum, Screen Scene, Windmill Lane and Piranha Bar.
It would be great to get any feedback or suggestions for future events, so feel free to post comments or mail me direct at info@moopictures.com.
Cheers,
Suzanne
